Haiti Election Day - 20 Mar 2011 - 9AM Update!

The Haiti Elections have already started, since 6am Haiti time (7am Eastern), but so far the main problem has been lack of election materials in many of the voting booths.

There has been many complaints that there is no Election INK and not enough Ballot boxes

Note that the election ink is a form of dye that is applied to the fingers of voters during elections in order to prevent electoral fraud such as double voting.

Without the ink and ballot boxes the election process cannot start.

The latest update is that MINUSTAH is going around distributing the necessary election materials so the electoral process can proceed
