This decision by the BCED is supposed to be approved by the Electoral Council and the finalized list of all approved candidates is due to be released by the CEP Friday.

Some candidates will not be very happy to hear about this news... That's all I have to say about that... LOL...

Sophia Martelly who was born in New York, making her a U.S. National, gave up that Nationalty and the U.S. embassy in Port-au-Prince confirmed it.

Over the past few days, the candidacy of Sophia Martelly displayed the open wounds and prejudices that still exists amongst Haitian politicians against the "other" Haitians, the Diaspora and their offsprings... We don't belong here, and the and some politicians made that very clear!

Kiskeya reports... "The irruption of Sophia Martelly in the election race has revived the age-old controversy between Haiti and its Diaspora, on the level of involvement of Haitians from abroad in the country's political life."

The decision is just and is in harmony with the founder of the nation, Emperor Jean-Jacques Dessalines.

Arretons l'hypocrisis, soyons franc pour dire que nous sommes des Haitiens peu importe que l'on soient dans n'importe quels autres pays que l'on se trouve et on nous reconnait pour tel, non-obstant que cela faisait 50 ans que l'on habite cet autre

Jah love. I think that this decision is bad news for Ayiti and her people.

And I am very concerned that if she wins a seat in the parliament, she will commit more criminal acts that will undermine the self determination of the people and push the nation state of Ayiti into deeper problems.
