Duvalier Officially Charged - He CANNOT Leave Haiti!

Eversince yesterday there has been a cat and mouse game going on between ex-President Jean Claude Duvalier and the Haitian National Police... Is under arrest? Is he not? Well... Now there are official charges against him for corruption in Haiti.

Port-au-Prince's chief prosecutor, Aristidas Auguste, says...

"His [Baby Doc Duvalier] fate is now in the hands of the investigating judge. We have brought charges against him..."

Port-au-Prince investigating judge Carves Jean says...

"He [Duvalier] doesn't have the right to go anywhere"

Apparently, in the Haitian justice system there are to types of MANDAT:

1) Mandat D'arest (That's when you are arrested, handcuffed, and taken to jail)

2) Bon... Mwen bliye non lot manda-a (but... that's when you are invited to go to the PARQUET to talk to the prosecutor, in that case you are not handcuffed, you may go home afterwards or the prosecutor can have you thrown in jail)

Yesterday, Baby Doc Duvalier was not handcuffed... However...

DUVALIER CANNOT LEAVE HAITI...

Chief prosecutor, Aristidas Auguste, told the press that his office had filed charges against Duvalier of corruption, theft, misappropriation of funds and other alleged crimes committed during his period in power.

The charges must now be investigated by the judge who will decide whether a criminal case should follow.

Duvalier left the prosecutor's office after being questioned for a few hours BUT... he was ordered to remain in the Haiti at the disposition of judicial authorities.

Bon fout... No more Paris for Lui... Non Non Non...

This is all a scam, the Haitian govt.and the Americans and French knew he was returning to Haiti.

I'm sure money is involved, he will be prosecuted and Haiti will recover some money.

His safety is already guaranteed, then he will return to France.

At least that's the plan for now. But i hope to God the Haitian people are not fooled by this charade.
