Despite troubles ahead of the Haitian Flag in the city of Arcahaie, Interim President Jocelerme Privert and his government went to Arcahaie anyway to carry out the official annual Haitian flag day ceremonies...

One day before, the arrival of the presidential motorgade, a tractor trailer was set on fire and laid across the main road leading to Arcahaie.

So far, 10:00am Wednesday 18 May 2016, the church ceremony is still being carried out; All seems to be going well in Arcahaie...

U.S. Ambasador Peter Mulrean and MINUSTAH chief Sandra Honoré are amongt the dignitaries present for the flag day celebration.
